- ½ cup black rice
- 2 cups water - for cooking
- Water - for washing and soaking
Wash ½ cup black rice three times under running water.
Soak it in water overnight.
Discard the soaking water and transfer rice to a pot.
Add 2 cups water and cook on medium heat with a lid.
Stir occasionally and cook until slightly moist and sticky.
Ensure rice is fully cooked and mashable.
Serve with South Indian curry and vegetables.
