Ingredients

  • 1.5 tbsp oil
  • 1 spring curry leaves
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 4 nos red chilli
  • 3 medium tomatoes roughly chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp coconut grated

for seasoning:

  • 1/2 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp urad dal
  • 1/2 spring curry leaves

Instructions

  • heat oil in a pan, add a spring of curry leaves,garlic cloves,red chillies and fry for at least half a minute
  • now, add chopped tomatoes, salt and fry for 1 minute until tomatoes are slightly roasted.
  • Sprinkle little water , close and cook until the tomatoes are mushy and cooked completely.
  • open and fry until any excess water is gone.
  • transfer to a blender. further add grated coconut to the mixture
  • cool and grind it to a fine paste
  • Lastly, prepare seasoning: heat oil and crackle mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves. add the seasoning to the chutney
