Ingredients
- 1.5 tbsp oil
- 1 spring curry leaves
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 nos red chilli
- 3 medium tomatoes roughly chopped
- salt to taste
- 2 tbsp coconut grated
for seasoning:
- 1/2 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp urad dal
- 1/2 spring curry leaves
Instructions
- heat oil in a pan, add a spring of curry leaves,garlic cloves,red chillies and fry for at least half a minute
- now, add chopped tomatoes, salt and fry for 1 minute until tomatoes are slightly roasted.
- Sprinkle little water , close and cook until the tomatoes are mushy and cooked completely.
- open and fry until any excess water is gone.
- transfer to a blender. further add grated coconut to the mixture
- cool and grind it to a fine paste
- Lastly, prepare seasoning: heat oil and crackle mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves. add the seasoning to the chutney
