Making homemade Sprouted ragi and sprouted wheat powder is good for babies above 8 months age. Consult with your pediac before starting on any new foods if your baby tends to be allergic for foods. I have tried on all the recipes for my son well before 1 yer age itself. I give very little quantity when feeding for the firsst time to check if he is allergic and continue for 3 days. Once he s fine, I include the recipe in his diet chart.

Note:
- Make very small batches. I prefer making fresh powders on the go and i have used 1/2 kg ragi and 1/2 kg wheat and plan for 2 times a week and it takes nearly a month and a half to complete this quantity.
- I have used organic ragi and wheat. so the dusts were very less. if not, wash and rinse multiple times to discard dusts from it.
- dry it out completely before making it to powder or else, if it is wet it will get spoiled very easily.
- If drying it out under sun, make sure you cover it with cloth and dry it to avoid dusts falling on it or insects getting in. Hygiene is important especially when making for kids.
