Dragon chicken recipe | Restaurant style dragon chicken is very popular chicken starters available in most of the restaurants and is unique in taste with a spicy as well as sweet Indo Chinese taste. there is one more version of dragon chicken here which is simpler and honey is used in it.

get all your ingredients for marination ready. cut the boneless chicken into strips.
mix everything together until well combined. let it marinate for a minimum of 1 hour.
after an hour, take the marinated strips one by one and drop into hot oil. keep turning sides and cook until it is brown and crispy. fry in batches and keep aside.
heat oil in a pan and fry sliced onions, cashews, sliced bell peppers with little salt. fry till it is slightly brown. A slight crunch is good so do not make it too brown.
add ginger garlic paste, red chilli paste and mix well. fry until raw smell of it goes off.
further add soya sauce, tomato sauce, sugar and mix well.
furthermore add corn slurry (corn flour added with little water to make a paste), vinegar, little bit of water.
cook in simmer until it thickens and becomes saucy in texture. add the fried chicken pieces and mix well.
heat a pan and add sesame seeds and let it pop. add the fried sesame seeds on chicken and mix once.
serve the delicious spicy and sweet indo chinese restaurant style dragon chicken HOT!

Ingredients
for marination
- 1/2 kg chicken boneless
- 3 tbsp corn flour
- 3 tbsp rice flour
- 1 tbsp pepper powder
- 1 tsp soya sauce
- salt to taste
- 1 tbsp chilli paste grind red chillies to paste
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 slice lemon
for sauce
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 no onion sliced
- 2 tbsp cashews
- 1/2 cup bell peppers(red, green & yellow) sliced
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp chilli paste
- 1 tsp soya sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2-3 no red chillies
- 2 tbsp corn flour water (2 tsp corn flour mixed with 2 tbsp water)
- 1 tsp vinegar
for tempering
- 1.5 tsp sesame seeds white
Instructions
- cut chicken into thin strips and mix everything given under marination together and marinate for 1 hour.
- deep fry the marinated chicken pieces in hot oil until crisp and keep aside.
- for making sauce. heat oil in a pan, fry onions, cashews, bell pepper sliced until slightly brown.
- to this, add ginger garlic paste and red chilli paste. fry until raw smell goes off.
- further add soya sauce, tomato sauce, red chillies, sugar and mix well.
- lastly add corn slurry, vinegar, 1/8-1/4 cup water and give it a good mix. heat in simmer until it thickens and becomes saucy.
- when it is saucy, add fried chicken pieces and mix well.
- heat a tadka pan and fry sesame seeds until it pops. add it to the chicken, mix and serve hot
