In Sadhya meals, Chakka chips is one of the sides which is made with jack fruit. Simple and easy two step recipe. of course, Cleaning the jack fruit will take time and is tedious too. There are few videos in You tube on Cleaning Jackfruit easily. However, In my house, dad or mom does it 🙂 its going to completely mess up your knife, table, plates but alas the taste of it Wins!! Directions:
Peel the jack fruit cholas or the edible part of it. Remove the seed and cut them into two halves vertically or even more slits if it is more thick. Marinate with Turmeric powder for 10-15 Mins before frying. Deep fry them in hot oil and sprinkle salt over them. That’s it! store them in Air tight container.
Variations:
Nowadays, Few add pepper powder and toss the fried jack fruit for an extra spiciness. However, that’s up to your choice.

Ingredients
- 2 cups jackfruit 2 cups semi ripe/raw
- Salt
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- coconut oil for deep frying
Instructions
- Peel the jack fruit cholas or the edible part of it. Remove the seed and cut them into two halves vertically or even more slits if it is more thick.
- Marinate with Turmeric powder for 10-15 Mins before frying.
- Deep fry them in hot oil and sprinkle salt over them.
