Poruvilagai urundai | Porulvilanga urunda is a simple and traditional south Indian sweet recipe made during very special occasions.
There is a curious meaning behind this name “porulvilanga urundai” , In Tamil, பொ௫ள் விளங்கா உருண்டை “Porul” means “meaning” and “Vilanga means “Clueless/unable to understand”.
The history of this dish is that – this particular sweet is made and sent along the newly wed lady to her in laws home. the ingredients in this ladoo is unknown/unable to identify by just tasting it same way, the members of the house is new and their character is a riddle to the bride.
