Poondu chalichathu recipe | Fried garlic instant chutney

It’s one of my favorite side dish for dosa! 😉 It’s simple to make, hardly takes a minute or two. All you need is garlic cloves, chilli powder, salt, and coconut oil. Sometimes I don’t chop them also. Deep Fry this in coconut oil..don’t let it dark..put off before it gets dark brown else it will give a bitter taste. Fry until it’s light brown in color.

Poondu chalichathu
Servings: 2 People
Ingredients
- 10 cloves garlic sliced horizontally
- 2 tsp coconut oil
- 2 tsp chilli powder
- 0.5 tsp Salt or to taste
Instructions
- Roast the Garlic in coconut oil until it turns brown
- Meanwhile mix chilly powder and salt in a bowl/plate
- pour in the roasted garlic along with the oil in the chilly powder mix
Notes
Idli podi/powder can be used instead of chilly powder/salt
