Spread what you love

Ever since Deepika Padukone shared her love for Bhutanese cuisine and specifically Ema Datshi, this traditional stew has gained immense popularity. Intrigued by its unique flavors, I decided to recreate this dish at home, and the experience was truly delightful. Ema Datshi, a hearty stew made with cheese and chilies, offers a burst of flavors.

Though i felt its a little heavy dish with cheese, tasting it is awesome. children would love this.

    • Once the curry is simmering, add wedges of tomato to the pan.
    • Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  5. Incorporate Cheese:
    • Now, add the processed cheese slices to the curry.
    • Allow the cheese to melt into the curry, creating a creamy texture.
  6. Final Touches:
    • Once the cheese is melted, mix it thoroughly with the curry.
    • Be careful not to overcook the dish; put off the flame as soon as the cheese is incorporated.
  7. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Ema Datshi is best enjoyed hot, served alongside fragrant basmati rice.

Ema Datshi, with its rich and creamy texture, may be a heavy dish due to the cheese, but it’s worth indulging in a few spoonfuls to savor its authentic Bhutanese taste. #BhutaneseCuisine #EmaDatshi #CheeseStew
