Crispy Tapioca fritters – Recipe
kappa vada
Ingredients
- 3 small potatoes
- 1 large tapioca
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 small green chilli finely chopped
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 3/4 tsp chilli powder
- 2 tbsp rice flour
- 3 tbsp maida
- oil for deep frying
Instructions
- Put the Potato and Tapioca in water, Add turmeric powder and let it cook until 3/4th done. strain it and discard the water
- grate the potato and tapioca
- to this, add green chilli, onion chopped, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, Rice flour, maida, Mix well and make tight dough
- Apply oil over hands, make thin flat round vadas out of the dough.
- Put them in hot oil and fry until its golden brown on both sides. strain on paper towel and serve hot
