Ingredients

  • 3 small potatoes
  • 1 large tapioca
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 small green chilli finely chopped
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 3/4 tsp chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 3 tbsp maida
  • oil for deep frying

Instructions

  • Put the Potato and Tapioca in water, Add turmeric powder and let it cook until 3/4th done. strain it and discard the water
  • grate the potato and tapioca
  • to this, add green chilli, onion chopped, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, Rice flour, maida, Mix well and make tight dough
  • Apply oil over hands, make thin flat round vadas out of the dough.
  • Put them in hot oil and fry until its golden brown on both sides. strain on paper towel and serve hot
