Let’s Talk About Ingredients
Chikoo
Chikoo gives the smoothie its natural sweetness and creamy texture. Choose well-ripened ones. If not available, you can use frozen chikoo pulp.
Banana
Frozen banana makes it thick and creamy. If fresh, add a few ice cubes.
Fig
Fresh figs are best. But dried figs soaked in hot water also work great. Adds fibre and iron.
Cocoa Powder
Adds a chocolatey twist. You can replace with cacao powder or carob powder.
Walnut
Gives brain-boosting omega-3. Almonds or cashews can be used instead.
Chia Seeds
Add protein and omega-3 fats. Optional, but great for texture and nutrition.
Cinnamon
Gives subtle warmth and balances the sweetness.
Almond Milk
Use unsweetened almond milk. You can also use coconut milk or oats milk.
Roasted Makhana
For topping and for smoothie – gives a crunchy twist. Optional but fun.
