Simple easy and tasty chicken fry with ghee and pepper flavored. Whenever anyone at home has caught cold, we prepare pepper roast. Easy , spicy and helps soothe cold.20160915_204239

Directions:

1. Clean the chicken and Cook it with salt, turmeric and pepper powder. Add very little water. Cook to 4 to 5 whistles.

2. Heat ghee in a kadai, add sliced onions, little bit of pepper powder and saute until it turns brown.

3. Add slit green chilies, curry leaves and saute for a min in medium flame.

4. Now add the cooked chicken and add additional  pepper powder if you like it to be spicy.

5. Fry it until it gets roasted. Tada! Chicken ghee pepper roast ready. Easy right ?!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg Chicken
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2-3 tsp pepper powder adjust pepper powder as per your taste
  • 1 large Onion sliced
  • 3 long green chillies slit vertically
  • 2 spring curry leaves
  • 2-3 tsp Ghee
  • Salt

Instructions

  • Clean the chicken and Cook it with salt, turmeric and 1 tsp pepper powder. Add very little water. Cook to 4 to 5 whistles.
  • Heat ghee in a kadai, add sliced onions, 1/2 tsp pepper powder and saute until it turns brown.
  • Add slit green chilies, curry leaves and saute for a min in medium flame.
  • Now add the cooked chicken and add additional 1 tsp/remaining pepper powder if you like it to be spicy. Fry it until it gets roasted.

Notes

Ground the pepper powder fresh to get the strong aroma of it!
Add ginger garlic paste after onions are fried. But it is optional. You an add it for an additional flavor.
