Agathi poo is nothing but flowers from august tree or sesbania grandiflora. We might have often heard of Agathi keerai. This is flower of the plant and rich source of calcium. Also a very good body coolant. Unlike the leaves, flowers tastes good with numerous health benefits.

Ingredients
- 2 cups agathi flowers finely chopped
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp urad dal
- 1/2 tsp chana dal
- 2 medium onion finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tbsp moong dal
- 2-3 tbsp grated coconut
Instructions
- Clean and finely chop the agathi flowers.
- Heat a pan, add oil
- crackle mustard seeds and add urad dal and chana dal
- when it changes colour, add finely chopped onions. fry until pink.
- Now, add chopped flowers, turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt, water and moong dal. Keep it open and let it cook in simmer for 5-10 minutes or until the flowers are cooked well.
- Switch off and add grated coconut. Mix well.
