Bananas are overly used in many Kerala recipes and this one is a simple version of banana fritters or pazham porichathu (പഴം പൊരി) not the nadan /traditional way but little different. Hence, I would call this as Pazham bonda recipe.
Traditional way of making pazham porichathu has the banana dipped in batter. But this is simple, we mix together all the ingredients and deep fry them. There is a simple banana fritters recipe with rava. Few of the banana recipes are nadan Nei appam to which we add the ripe bananas.
Koova payasam is one recipe made with arrowroot where we use ripe banana as well. Used as fasting recipe on thiruvathira. There are plenty of Banana flower and banana stem recipes as well.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup corn flour
- 1/4 cup rice flour
- 1/8 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp desiccated coconut
- 1 cup banana mashed
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
Instructions
- Take a mixing bowl, add Corn flour, Rice flour, Sugar, Turmeric powder, Desiccated coconut, Mashed banana,
- Mix well and Make a sticky dough
- Scoop out a dough with spoon and drop it in hot oil.
- let it brown and strain in paper towel. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top
