Cauliflower Peas Masala porial is spicy stir fry dish. Masala touch to the ordinary plain cauliflower curry.

Cauliflower Peas Masala porial

Whenever we get cauliflower, we use to cook this dish definitely. It will not require the full flower if the size is big. Just 1/4th of it or half of it is only used. As we add peas also with it.

Directions for Cauliflower Peas masala porial:

  1. Cook cauliflower in boiling water with turmeric powder for 5 to 10 min until half done.
  2. Heat oil, crackle mustard seeds and fennel seeds.
  3. Saute chopped onions, curry leaves and crushed garlic
  4. Add cauliflower and peas
  5. Put in turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala and salt.
  6. Add water, close and cook until peas and cauliflower is cooked.
    Open and let it dry.

Note:

Boiling cauliflower with turmeric is important as tiny worms inside cauliflower goes unnoticed when we cook them directly. So boil it and discard the water before using it.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Cauliflower florets
  • 1 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 Tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp Fennel seeds
  • 1 Medium sized Onion Finely chopped
  • 2 Large Garlic cloves Crushed
  • 1 Spring Curry leaves
  • 1/4 Cup Peas
  • 3/4 Tsp Chilli powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Garam masala

Instructions

  • Cook cauliflower in boiling water with turmeric powder for 5 to 10 min until half done.
  • Heat oil, crackle mustard seeds and fennel seeds.
  • Saute chopped onions, curry leaves and crushed garlic
  • Add cauliflower and peas
  • Put in turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala and salt.
  • Add water, close and cook until peas and cauliflower is cooked.Open and let it dry.
