Chicken Biryani | Pressure Cooker Chicken Biryani Recipe | Kozhi Biriyani | (Ramzan special)

Making chicken biryani recipe in pressure cooker is very easy and does not require any marination. It is made with freshly prepared biryani masala powder.

Ingredients:

To roast and grind: ( Biryani masala powder)

3 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tbsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp fennel seeds
1 tsp cloves
3 nos cardamom
2 inch cinnamon
1 no star anise
2 nos black cardamom
2 tsp peppercorns

for biryani:

2 cups basmati rice
1/2 kg chicken
2 tbsp ghee
1 tbsp oil
1 large onion sliced
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 large tomato chopped
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 of the above powdered biryani masala or 2 tbsp biryani masala
3 tbsp curd
salt to taste
1 handful chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves
water – 3 cups
1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
