Tikhi Puri is a typical Gujarati cuisine. Wheat flour worked with spices giving out a mildly spiced and aromatic puri that goes well with potato curry, dahi and mildly flavored curries.

We just love this recipe and we cal this masala puri. Can be had just like that without any condiments. But the one best suits is any potato curry. Lasaniya batata is super duper hit for the recipe.

Put together wheat flour, salt, ajwain/carom seeds, turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, crushed kasuri methi and oil. Add water little at a time and mix to a tight dough.

let it sit for 30 min before spreading.

apply oil on the counter and take out a small-sized ball from the dough and spread to a small medium thick round.

Put it in hot oil and cook on both sides until brown.

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1 tsp carom seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp kasuri methi crushed
  • 1 tbsp oil

Instructions
